Royal Alberta Museum

We headed to the Royal Alberta Museum for a day of exploring!

First stop was an amazing butterfly and moth exsibit

The kids loved the colors and after great conversation they agreed that it was not birds we were looking at but moffs and B-fys

Discovering inside the Wolf to Dog Display

How the color of eyes affect sight in animals

Here Tyson is touching an animal hoof

Before Vada touched, she read first

Skulls

Lots of wild animals

Horns

Calling into the horn because he heard his voice when he was trying to say horn

Vada's turn

Tyson reading about different beaks

Comparing and learning

Learning and comparing

Tyson figuring out what this means

The kids wanted to go in and have a pow wow with the natives and Anthony Henday

They all said Sure

So much to see

Both Tyson and Vada were completely inlove with dinosaurs, it must be an innate childhood thing

It was an incredible day, the kids loved looking at everything and I know their little minds were working overtime. They were sharing all kinds of great stories and at times they were simply just looking and making their own ideas about what they were seeing.

Can't wait to go again!

Playing Football and Slides

Amanda was teaching the kids to catch and throw a football, Tyson started with an amazing throwing arm....

Then Findlay was so good...

And she caught every football pass

She was so proud of herself

And Avery was our cheerleader

Vada was off exploring the yard!

Baking

While the little ones were sleeping, Findlay helped me make Carrot cake muffins, she is very good!

She was so proud of her accomplishments and then she helped me trim the flowers and make every family a vase of flowers to take home and we both forgot to remind the parents!

Snack and Puzzles

Happy friends

Snack time is fun, it is great to se Findlay, just turned 3, with the little ones, she loves being the BIG girl. She is teaching them to use all their words, she is a great teacher.

Avery blew me away when she was able to place all the pieces of her puzzle the first try.
When she is interested in something, she is very focused.

Very focused...

Findlay loves puzzles and this is when she learned about giving the other kids something else to do when they want to 'help' her

Vada LOVES books, every time I read, she stops everything and listens, she loves stories. They all do but I am sure Vada will be an avid reader!

Park Day

3 Little People in a Wagon!

Oh my goodness, Avery, Vada and Tyson had all kinds of funny conversations and expressions about everything around them!

Findlay is such a happy girl! We played house all day, the 3 littles were her sisters and brothers and we were on a trip that we packed so may great things for. Findlay is an amazing story teller!

Avery always climbing :)
Growing and exploring

Findlay found a ladybug and shared her with everyone. She was amazed when her lady BUG could FLY!

Discovering Dragonflies

Oh their way to another adventure

Cool Dragonflies, it had rained so there was lots of dragonflies drying their wings, the kids loved them, it was great to see how curious but gentle they all were.

Of course, nothing completes park day like swings!
Tyson LOVEs the swings but he was so willing to share and let everyone have a turn :)

Happy Avery swinging

Vada and I made sandcastles and Vada destroyed them

Avery came to help

Love the expression on Findlay's happy face!

A fun day, the first day all the kids were together with me and they were fabulous.

What a wonderful day!

Love this kid

Seriously this is Vada exactly, she is always such a ham!
